| | In The Battle of the Future First Ladies, Michelle Leads | | In spite of the right doing everything in their power to demonize her, as it stands right now Michelle Obama has a higher public approval rating than Cindy McCain. I think this is even without most of the public being aware of Cindy's past as a drug addict who stole from her own charity or a home wrecker who slept with the husband of a woman who had been disfigured in an auto accident. Sorry, I just had to add that since I'm sure if the shoe were on the "left" foot of Michelle Obama, we know it would be shoved down our throats 24/7.http://www.blogrunner.com/snapshot/D/4/0/battle_of_the_spouses_a_bit_better_for_obama/ Let's discuss it. What do you hope to see from the next First Lady or the two potential First Ladies during the campaign? Are they "fair game"? Do you think the coverage on them has been fair and balanced - now, I mean in the true sense of that phrase, not the Fox News slogan's definition. Have you tried Cindy's...er, Hershey's...butterscotch cookie recipe?

| Who was your favorite historical president | | There are two that I remember enjoying hearing about in the news. That was president Reagan and Jimmy Carter. I was a wee gal when carter and Reagan were president. Carter had a good heart and was right on many issues regardless of what many republican opponents thought. Reagan was stealth in many issues of nuclear ties and foreign relations. That's just me what about you? | |
| | who is the better dresser: michelle obama or jackie o.? | | for me, it's the original, miss jackie o., because everything about her is simplicity. i'm not saying the current first lady is avant-garde. for all we know, miss jackie's clothes cost more than that of the current first lady's. it's just that miss jackie o.'s lines are simpler and that is the hardest to pull off with a minimal allowance only for imperfection. | |

| "I Never Really Loved America Until I Was Deprived of Her Company"... | | Who do you suppose said these lovely words, not once, not twice, but at least three times? It was none other than Senator John McCain! I'm not posting this in criticism of McCain's words, not in the least; in fact, I think I can understand where he's coming from in them, as much as someone who was never even remotely close to experiencing what he experienced as a POW. I DO have a problem with the wife of the man who said those words over and over again being on the attack against Michelle Obama for what she said ONE time ("...the first time I'm proud of my country") and of which she has repeatedly explained her meaning. It looks like the gloves are going to come off between the potential First Ladies, at least where Cindy McCain is concerned! What do you think about this budding "cat fight" Cindy seems to want to pick and do you think it's wise of her?

| | how about lois lane eh.. | | we all rave about who our favorite heroes are, what is it about them that sends us slack jawed. What about the women behind or beside (for want of a better term) them. What about Lois Lane or Mary Jane Watson? Who is your favorite and why?Behind every man's success is a woman. | |

| Who made a better First Lady? Hillary Clinton or Laura Bush? | | Hillary Clinton or Laura Bush? Why?
I think Hillary made a better First Lady due to her willingness to save her marriage regardless of that the tabloids and headlines were saying. Bill Clinton was a dog, she knew he was a dog, but yet chose to stay. I am not sure if that is a sign of strength or weakness, but it is sure impressive. | |
